Every year I get asked the same question: “What exactly are Christmas Minis?”

So let’s clear it up — and let me warn you upfront: they sell out for a reason.

What are Christmas Minis?

Christmas Minis are short and sweet photography sessions designed to capture your family at Christmas without the big time or financial investment of a full shoot.

They’re usually 15–20 minutes long, with a festive setup (think Christmas trees, twinkly lights, and warm, joyful details). Perfect for Christmas cards, gifts for grandparents, or just documenting your family in the season that feels the most magical.

Why they sell out so fast

Because they’re affordable, quick, and only happen once a year. Busy families love them because they tick “Christmas photos” off the to-do list without any stress. And with limited spots, they’re gone in a flash.

This year, I’ve created a warm, simple, timeless Christmas setup at A to Z Studio in Caringbah. Neutrals, twinkling trees, subtle red accents, and child-friendly props no tacky tinsel in sight. Just beautiful, classic photos that will still look good in 20 years.
